Our shoulders brushed against an earth angel recently, when our friend Dylan brought Pappa Bear to stay with us for a couple of days. We played music together by a wet night campfire, and the rain could not dampen our spirits; there was so much shining love amongst us all. We swapped notes on spiritual pioneers, gemstone jewellery making, meditation, and Non violent communication.
"I never feel more given to than when you take from me."
Before he left, Pappa Bear sang us this sweet song, originally by Marshall B. Rosenberg, the founder of The Center for Nonviolent Communication. We wish he could have stayed forever.
I never feel more given to than when you take from me
When you understand the joy I feel caring for you
You know my giving isn’t done to put you in my debts
But because I want to live the love I feel for you
To receive with grace may be the greatest giving
There is no way I can separate the two
When you give to me I give you my receiving
And when you take from me I feel so given to.
